That is a lot of quilt shows, all that eye candy. Sadly we don't get that many here in South Australia, but I do enjoy the ones that we do have and it is enjoyable being able to see all the pictures of quilts on your blog.
ReplyDeleteAustralia has so many talented quilters (like yourself !) We love looking at the award-winners from the Australian guilds. We are working to include Australian shows in our monthly roundup, whenever they occur.
ReplyDeleteIhope you don't mind, I fell in love with your blog and had to share it with my blog. I used the quilt picture to direct people to you.

Beth, you just made our day !! Thanks a million. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for inspiration for finishing my mother's hand embroidered blocks into quilts. My concept of quilting has been blocks and sashes and now I see that quilts can be fun, alive, and art pieces. My goal is to take these static heirloom embroidery type blocks and set them in quilt tops for all the important people in my mom's life so that they have something of hers and hopefully will keep for decades. So I have a lot of homework, and sewing to do. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteTo Casa Allegre, Thanks for your visiting us ! We'd love to see what you end up doing with your mother's hand-embroidered blocks... what a wonderful project, and a generous gift in memory of your mom. We loved your comment.
