Free Pattern Day: Plus and Cross quilts

Here are free patterns for quilts with 'plus' and 'cross' designs!     I've had a cross quilt on my (long) mental to-do list for a while. Eventually...

  3. I wonder why those + and X blocks are called "Japanese". I am still putting those 240+ blocks together but have never seen a finished quilt in that design.
