Vintage Valentines by Karin Crawford, quilted by Kathi Carter
This quilt was awarded Best of Show at the 2015 Springville Museum of Art quilt show. In her former quilt guild, Karin Crawford was placed in charge of making the opportunity quilt and chose Vintage Valentine (by Verna Mosquera at The Vintage Spool.) She bought many tickets hoping to win the quilt. However, she did not, and so made one for herself. Here are more photos that showcase her applique work and the beautiful quilting by Kathi Carter.
Karin says, "The looped and scalloped border was a big challenge but adds to the feeling of a lacey, old fashioned valentine."
