Carried Away by Joyce Harrison
This award-winning quilt was based
on a traditional 'one block' hexagon design. Many well-loved Kaffe Fassett fabrics are included in this
quilt. Oranges and blues were
used for color contrast, and light and dark patches add to the visual
interest.
The maker, Joyce Harrison says: "As a second attempt hexie
project, Kaffe Fassett fabric was a 'must' for color. A wider border
gave me more room for machine quilting." Carried Away was awarded second place in the
medium pieced / machine quilted category.
