Inspired by Edgar Allen Poe's poem "The Raven," this nine block quilt is designed to welcome autumn. Each block's name is taken from a bit of Poe's poetry. The birds, whether perching on a pumpkin or silhouetted by the light of the harvest moon, are sure to add a bit of whimsy.

The Raven quilt is based on the poem of the same name by Edgar Allan Poe. The pattern is by Alma Allen and Barb Adams at Blackbird Designs. This quilt is hand-appliqued by Karin Dunham; Jean Firestine added the lovely machine quilting. The applique and quilting are beautifully done.
