Halloween sneaks in

While we were busy with other things, Halloween crept in!  The holiday isn't quite the same this year, but we still enjoy Halloween themes: pumpkins, black cats, and witches' hats.  Here's a fun quilt we admired at the 2020 Quilt Arizona quilt show.

Scaredy Cats by Lexi Burg

Lexi Burg created her own design to showcase this adorable cat fabric.  In the center nine-patch, the cat blocks alternate with pinwheels.  Many of the cats are wearing Halloween outfits and standing on pumpkins.  (We're still searching for the source of this cute fabric!)  Lexi quilted this herself using a variety of motifs.  Here are a few closeups of the blocks:

  1. A cleaver use of those Halloween prints. These days the holiday seems to be extending to the whole month and I've seem a lot of interesting decorative wall hangings as well.
