Free patterns: St. Patrick's Day

Did you know that St. Patrick's Day is the most widely celebrated saint's day in the world?  Many countries celebrate St. Patrick's Day with parades, green attire, green food and - occasionally - green beer.   For free patterns for shamrocks, Irish chain quilts, celtic knots and more, see our updated Free Pattern Day post on March 4, 2014.

  2. (How about St. Valentine's Day... that must be pretty popular world wide, too.)
Thanks for the reminder that St. Paddy's is coming up soon. I always send some shamrock sticker or green pin for each of my grandkids to wear on THE day, cause I'm the reason they are Irish... it's from my Dad's side. A good way to introduce your grands to some interest in family tree.
    Hugs!

  4. The shamrock only has three heart-shaped leaves; not four.
