Mary Landon says she began piecing these blocks improvisationally, but then
switched to newspaper foundations. She says, [I'm] "still trying to use up scraps, this
time green, pink and blue." The background was improvisationally pieced as well.The techniques used include machine piecing, improvisational piecing, and machine quilting on a longarm.
