Free Pattern Day: Plus and Cross quilts

Here are 25 free patterns for quilts with 'plus' and 'X' designs. They are among the simplest of all designs and make interesting tessellations !

    I've had a cross quilt on my (long) mental to-do list for a while. Eventually...

  3. I wonder why those + and X blocks are called "Japanese". I am still putting those 240+ blocks together but have never seen a finished quilt in that design.
