Red, white, and blue are the colors of the American flag, but they work together for any occasion. A warm color like red invokes feelings of passion and energy, which contrasts with the refreshing calmness of cool blue tones inspire. This quilt sparkles with energy.

Rhapsody in Red and Blue by Ann Adams
This quilt was all hand pieced with octagons, kites, 4-point stars, isosceles triangles, star wings and diamonds. The design is based on the English paper pieced pattern - Celestial Star - by Sharon Burgess (Lilabelle Lane Creations.) Ann Adams used the following fabrics: Quilting Treasures' Bohemian Rhapsody, Benartex' Rabbit Hole, Wanderlust Tapestry and solid blues. The fabrics were used to create kaleidoscope effects throughout the quilt.
We admire Ann Adams' impressive hand piecing and hand quilting techniques. she was awarded a second place ribbon for this stunning quilt.
