Beautifully made, this Denyse Schmidt quilt recently caught our eye. It's a variation of a traditional "Rattlesnake" design, done here in modern solids. She calls it Snake Charmer, and offers it as a custom-made quilt in several colors and sizes. Check out more photos on her website at DSQuilts!

Denyse Schmidt says: "My rendition of a traditional "snake-in-the-grass" or "drunkard’s path" pattern looks great on the bed. Subtle shifts of color in the snakes impart an organic-modernist feel. An idea long on the drawing board, this pattern initially took shape when developed for my first how-to book, Denyse Schmidt Quilts (Chronicle Books)."
