Eureka, 70 x 86, by Jane Acomb, Idaho U.S.A.
Jane writes, " I love the design and colors (red, green, and cream) in this quilt. This quilt kit sat under my bed for many years before its construction. Now I proudly display it at Christmas time."
We especially love the center medallions which form a white star surrounded by Tree of Life blocks; and we also love the smaller Amish Star red blocks which comprise the outer border.
Barb Niewert did a great job quilting this intricate patchwork, which contains many small half-square triangles. This "Eureka" pattern by Jackie Robinson is available for purchase as an e-pattern at Animas Quilts.

This series of quilts are so inspiring - and they keep the Christmas spirit present. This one is spectacular piecing to the highest level. One I'd like to own. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteLoved all the quilts but this one is especially special! A beauty to snuggle up with!
ReplyDeleteThat quilt really deserves a close-up look. At first glance, it was the star but a second look the trees took center stage. The on-point setting makes th borders much more than merely "borders".
