Bursting Free by Susie Voss, quilted by Penny Allen
"Bursting Free" was based on Ricky Tims' Grand Convergence design [in Ricky Tims' Convergence Quilts]. The saturated hues of the batiks add tremendous energy to this quilt! Susie Voss says, "After finishing
the convergence pattern and having it quilted, I felt as though the dark
blue strips were a "jail cell" confining the energy within. So I cut
the quilt and released this fiery energy."
