Kaffe Fassett Quilt Inspiration: Artisan motifs

Kaffe Fassett has inspired people across the world with his creative, colorful fabrics and designs. Here is an original, contemporary quilt that showcases large floral motifs. As a nod to the history of quiltmaking, the designer placed a traditional applique in the center.

What Would Kaffe Do by Barbara Jensen (Michigan)

This original quilt was machine appliqued, pieced, and quilted. Barbara Jensen says, "I love Kaffe Fassett's wonderful use of saturated color in his fabrics. When I saw the challenge to use Artisan fabrics in a quilt, I quickly jumped on board. It was a challenge to use the wide variety of colors and patterns.  When I encountered a difficult choice, I asked myself "What would Kaffe do?" This is how I arrived at the title."
