February exhibits and shows

Everybody knows that February is "slack season" when it comes to quilt shows... or is it?  There are more than a dozen quilting events this month that captured our attention.  How about the International Quilt Show in Dubai, or one of the six shows in Florida, for all the snowbirds* out there?

*snow·bird - n.
1. Any of several birds, such as the junco and the snow bunting, common in snowy regions.
2. Slang: One who moves from a cold to a warm place in the winter.

p.s. Quilts Dubai has some wonderful online galleries with photos of past award winners.

  1. Nice eye candy, we don't seem to have many quilt shows in Australia. I think I'm really going to have to think about a holiday in the USA sometime.

  2. Pip, you would love all the quilt shows in the U.S. ! By the way, Marina is in New Zealand now, where she's visited some darling quilt shops. She's having a wonderful time . -- Daryl
